Jesse's Girl, always. The other day I was taking my daughter somewhere and there was an acoustic live version on the radio and I got SO EXCITED. Probably disproportionately to the situation, but whatever. :-)
Werewolves of London just came on - I had to turn it up!! My dog ran from the room and looked at me like I had lost my mind!!! I was howling and giggling all over the room!!! OOOO HHHHOOOO WEREWOLVES OF LONDON!!!! -huh - I'd like to meet his tailor!! Doing the werewolves of london!!!
There are a few that I just HAVE to turn up because they make me smile or bring back great memories!!!
Care to share???

I've never heard of the song you refer to, Cheryl. But I always crank up the theme song for The Wonder Years - "What would you do, if I sang out of tune ..... would you stand up and walk out on me?......"
Edit: I googled the song. I know that song! I can hum/sing along but had NO idea that the song was about Werewolves of London. Guess I'm not a good listener all these years.
There's so many, but always "I Gotta Feeling!" Reminds me of GREAT friends and great nights!
also, just about anything Salt 'n Peppa - reminds me of high school.
Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves!
REO Speedwagon, Keep on Loving You...not only do I turn it up, but I have to sing along, very loudly!
ETA: Kelly L., my 3 year old LOVES We Are Young, he knows a lot of the words and belts them out everytime he hears it.
Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye is the first one that came to mind.
There are way too many songs to list that I HAVE to turn up!
Side-note: We heard our 18 month old son singing in the car to "We are young" by Fun. He was going up and down in pitch just like the singers . . . hilarious!
Tom Petty is the BEST driving music. I always turn it way up. When I had my c-section, the doctors had Jungle Love by Steve Miller Band on. We were all singing, and it was a fun way to bring my son into the world. I always turn that up pretty loud.
"Dont Stop Believing" by Journey! Our family just loves that song lol.
I don't turn up the radio but then when no one is in the car it is already loud.
I wish I could think of a song at the moment but my mind is blank. Pretty much anything from the 80s.
I'm with Jo W, anything from the 80's!
Fat Bottom Girls by Queen.
Gunpowder and Lead--Miranda Lambert
and a ton of others. I'm always jammin'!!
and his hair was perfect!
That is my one of my favorite songs too!
Bohemian Rhapsody. And I have to sing super loud to it!
Pretty much any rock song gets cranked up. I call those songs my driving music since it's much better driving to uptempo songs.
Anything 'adele' here lately...
I sing...LOUDLY...
My teens CRINGE!!!
Gotta love it!
michele/cat
500 Miles...The Proclaimers
Anything by The Killers
I'm a Believer, Smashmouth
Ring of Fire, Social Distortion
But definitely NOT Werewolves of London....maybe Excitable Boy by Warren....
I guess I like a different genre than many of you but the first one that came to mind for me is "Bro Hymn" by Pennywise. It's not on very often but when I catch it I have to blast it.
And yes anything that just brings back memories, hafta turn it up and go down memory lane!
That so funny you brought up that song!! A couple weeks ago, it came on the radio while we were in the car and my almost 2 year old daughter started yelling "ooh hoo" over and over!! Cutest thing ever!!
"Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners, " Take on Me" , " Purple Haze" Jimi Hendrix , "Today" Smashing Pumpkins , " Mr. Brightside" The Killers, " Rumor Has It" Adele, " Free Bird" ..I have many, many more.
Hall and Oates "Rich Girl"
What just popped into my head was "Rock the Bells" by LL Cool J.
Tonight, tonight
There's a party on the rooftop top of the world!
Tonight, tonight
and we're dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign....
I crank it EVERY time. Thanks, I'm about to play it now. Happy Wednesday :)
Oh my! Lately TITANIUM but also the classics:
Another one bites the dust (Queen);
We are the champions (Queen);
Thriller (Jacko)
Born in the USA (Bruce Springsteen)
Sweet Home Alabama (?)
Up close are:
Bring me to life (Evanescence)
Sweet child o'mine (the initial reef...wow! By Guns'nRoses)
Too many to list them all!!! Great Memories...
Golden Earring - Twilight Zone
ANYTHING by Queen - especially Bohemian Rhapsody and Fat Bottom Girls.
I do like Warren Zevon though, send Lawyers Guns and Money the Sh*T has hit the fan!
It's Been a Hard Day's Night - The Beatles
This morning I was dancing around to Ordinary Day by Great Big Sea. That song often puts me in a good mood as well as a gazzillion others.
Music is HUGE for me, I have it on 24/7 literally. If it's just me, I always have it cranked and I've been known to dance while cooking (which my bf loves catching) and belt out everything that comes on, but only when I'm alone...we all sound awesome when we sing to ourselves, right?! :)
My mix is so varied, TONS of 80's/90's stuff, I love the hair bands (highschool days!!) but my daughter's introduced me to new stuff too...I recently discovered something called "crunk" (who knew??) which is really good, loud, house cleaning or "I'm mad and I don't care" music but really hard to sing to...youtube Brokencyde and you'll see what I mean...
Journey, REO, Chicago...all GREAT...
OH, the remake of Lady Marmalade, the one Christina Aguilera/Lil' Kim/Mya/Pink did for the movie Moulin Rouge!! AWESOME!!! That one I have to crank up! My daughter even loves that one...
John Prine "Same Thing Happened to Me"
I listen to Pandora in my office and turn lots of songs up~ But a tenant will walk in or the phone will ring and I have to turn it back down.
My hub wonders how I can do math with the radio blasting, but honestly, it totally helps me to concentrate.
A quiet environment makes me crazy because I hear all the small sounds and that distracts my brain (what I have left of it).
I can only imagine--MercyMe
Gimme shelter--the Stones
What's going on--Marvin Gaye
I can't think of the name right now, but a song by Tina Turner that has a great sax part.
That's so funny! I heard Werewolves the other day and my kids (the 6 and 4 yr olds) were howling all the way home. The 2-yr was also trying to keep up with the song! As for other songs - I turn up lots of songs. most 80's, some 90's rap, rat pack and 60's pop, anything I can sing.
Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams. This song can make me happy no matter what my mood. My husband is 8 years younger than me (ie: different generation) and thinks I'm a nut :)
Anything by ACDC. Back in the USSR by the Beatles, Shake It by The Casanovas.
