Is Sit N Stroll Worth It?

I'm joining my husband on a business trip to Wash DC with our 11mos old. I want to see the city while he is busy with work. Would a sit n stroll (http://www.lillygold.com) be a good investment for traveling in taxis around the city? I can't imagine taking a carseat in the taxis. What do you do with it when site seeing? How do people get around in taxis with babies? And if a sit n stroll is best what is a good brand?

I have one, and I love it. It was definitely worth it for me. I haven't tried traveling without it. I have the one you linked to by Triple Play. I also got the optional sun shade and mesh bag, but never actually used those. I do use the neat seat. Got mine from Costco to save a little money. Hope that helps.

I don't know about that stroller, but we were in DC a few years ago and there is definately a big opportunity for you to stroll around the various Smithsonian's and the Mall. We got very tired walking and did catch a taxi at one point to take us to the other end of the Mall, but there was another bus thingy that went around the Mall and Smithsonian's all day and you could buy a pass and tour around.

It was fun and I think you'll have a great time, just bring toys for the stroller that will amuze your baby while you're looking at stuff not interesting to him.

I am originally from DC and have been there quite a few times, since moving. My advice is to rent a car. It is not worth your time to take a taxi everywhere. It would be much easier to bring your carseat and rent a car.

I have a friend who travels alot and she loves it. I would suggest looking on craigslist or ebay they will be much cheaper. She bought hers on craigslist for I think 50.00 it is in great condition.
