I have a 7 month old almost 8 and she started sleeping through the night at 2 months her doctor just said I was one of the lucky ones. Thank goodness to some rest.

No, not too early at all. My daughter slept through the night at about 4-6 weeks and is still doing it today. I just have a few interruptions at night when she's teething. Her doctor told me most babies usually sleep through the night when they hit 11 pounds.

Don't worry, E..

Both My First & Second Daughters slept through the night almost immediately after coming home from the hospital. Enjoy the evenings while you can because once your Daughter's sleeping pattern changes (sooner or later it will happen) there will be no going back to peaceful evenings. Just relax & don't stress.

Take care!

are you breastfeeding? I have been the whole time and my son STTN from 2-4 months but then he stopped. I figured out why. If you are nursing, please read this article so you are aware that even though she may STTN now, she may stop and it's normal and OK...

You need to be sleeping for yourself now. My son slept through the night at 3 weeks, and prior to that he only woke up every 4-5 hours for feedings. He was my first child so I know whenever I have another I won't be that blessed, or at least that's what I'm told my other mothers ( I mean my mom HEHE) I think that when the baby starts sleeping through the night you should feel proud because your baby is comfortable and well taken cared for during the rest of the day and fed well enough to want to continue sleeping. you now need your rest to keep that up for a long time to come. Good luck with your daughter!

Too early? No! You are so lucky. Appreciate it, your daughter may change her mind, enjoy the sleep while can get it. I have a 6 mo old who wakes up at least once a night and my 2 1/2 yr old still has problems sometimes! I'm very jealous. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

E.,

It could be. Some do, some don't. My first son never slept through the night until he was almost 2 - and believe me, I tried everything. My second son has slept through the night about half the time since he was about 3 months old. I think at 3 1/2 months, it is too early to expect a baby to sleep through the night or to do any sleep training just because you want your baby to sleep through the night. But some babies do and if yours does, enjoy it because many babies who sleep through the night really early quit doing it around 5-6 months when they start hitting big developmental milestones and/or teething.

Stop your worrying, no it is not too early. She is right on track. If she wasnt then I worry or get frusrtated. Three months is about when they start. My two youngest started about 2 and a half months, well at least 5 hours a night straight. Dont worry.

Both of my kids were sleeping through the night by 2 months old. Not a problem at all ; )
If your little one is hungry, she will wake up.
Enjoy it!

I would say that it is not too early. My child started sleeping through the night at 2 months old and everyone mentioned how lucky I was for that to have happened. Consider it a blessing!!

No way, it's not too early. Enjoy it. My daughter slept through the night at 7 weeks, and my son is only 5 weeks and has had two nights already where he has slept through. They have their own internal clocks just like us, and they will wake up if they need something. Take advantage of it and get some rest yourself.

NO WAY..consider youself lucky, my 21mo. old girl has successfully slept throught the night since she was about almost 4mo. I breast feed her and then started her on on little bit of rice cereal which made her more content, I believe, anyhow she still sleeps through the night and actually is a late sleeper, wakes around 8:30am its great, I am now pregnant with my second and hope I get this lucky with my next..hope this helped...W.

Good Lord, Woman, count your blessings!!! My skinny little girl was sleeping through the night at this age, too. The problem happenned when she started to roll over - she would wake herself up and cry. I should have ignored her at that point, because she would have figured out how to go back to sleep on her own (since she really could make it through without eating) but I started to pick her up and it was downhill from there. It sounds like everything is going just fine for you (try to keep it that way!!)

Not at all! My daughter was an early sleeper also starting right around 6 weeks. Be thankful not all moms get this for quite some time! We must just be the lucky ones!
