Is It Sellable? Maybe Donate?

Hi Mamas,
I have a Medela breast pump advanced with backpack. It is electrical, not hand pump and works well. I only used it for two months and sterilized it prior to putting it away. Is this something that anyone would buy? Would donation be an issue because of any hygiene issues? I have heard you can purchase new tubes (the part the milk passes through). If women buy other women's breast milk over the Internet (which I personally wouldn't do) I would think a breast pump would be appreciated. Any ideas? I just can't bring myself to throw it in the garbage!

What can I do next?

yes they sell well but the new owner will need to buy new tubing and such. I bought only the pump and bought the tubes and containers new.

Do not throw it away. No way!

Yes people will buy them. Mine was given to me by my cousin. She used it a few times. I was happy to get a free pump! Check out your local craigslist and see what other people are selling them for in your area. Go from there.

I used a breast pump that I got free at a yard sale. It was fine. I only used it temporarily when I needed surgery but it was totally fine! No issues at all.

i sold mine on Ebay for what I paid to a person in NY. Apparently they thought they got a great deal. Also, used consignment shops and craigslist.

Yes absolutely sellable. I sold mine at our local "wee-sale" consignment bazaar for what I paid for it.

Some hospital lactation centers will rent machines out; you could contact your local hospital or birthing center to see if they'd appreciate it as a donation (they sterilize & get new tubing).

Yes, it is sellable. You can list it on craigslist or on ebay. if you are not comfortable doing that - then call your local goodwill or other charitable organization and see what their rules are on breast pumps.
