trying to plan my son's 4th b-day in October. We went to a 3yr old b-day party at My Gym back in January and my son loved it. My husband thinks 4 is too old for a My Gym party. What do you think?

I'll post a link to My Gym in the SWH area for those who are not familar.

What can I do next?

Too old? I think it'd be fine for 4 and up! Maybe up to age 8. Don't they have classes up to age 12 anyway?

Talk to the people at My Gym and make sure they know it's a party for 4 year olds. We have a similar place here, Romp N Roll, and they generally gear the parties towards the appropriate age. My son is having his 4th party there on Sunday. I too worried it would be too young but I couldn't take another party @ Pump It Up (we've been to 4 this summer) so whatever. People can think what they think. I'm sure the kids will have fun.

Not too old at all. My girls did Little Gym (same idea) when they were three, and then were invited to several four and five year old birthday parties in the same location. The staff tailors the party for the age of the kids, so it's good for even older than four.

I think it'll be fun for the kids. My son went to My Gym around that age and loved it.

Do what your son wants, it's HIS birthday, not your husband's!
Besides, according to the website they have programs for school age kids as well, so I really don't get where he's coming from.

Do what YOUR son would like.
It is his birthday party.
I don't see a problem with it. Unless that venue has an age restriction.
Most kids, LIKE that sort of thing.

4 years old, is still young. That is preschool age.
And he is a boy, they love physical activity and per parties.

My kids both had My Gym parties when they turned 5. They were thrilled, and I think the staff does a great job of adapting the party to the kids who are there -- different activities for different ages.

i would think the same as your husband but in reality the kids would love it.

also some local Y's and gyms offer parties for members and non members that are cheap and alomst the same thing but for bigger kids.
a fitness center (that is super expensive to join here) has cheap parties for non members too and they host in their huge gymnsiaum and have staff set up courses and so on...
