E.I.
My son has been going to the Primrose School of Valley Ranch for about a year now (3-13 kk). Here's my review:
Pros:
- great curriculum
- great management (both Ms. Brenda and Ms. Shirley); I've never seen directors so excited about their jobs and all the children as these two - and I've toured several daycare centers in the area
- less expensive than other daycare centers in the area (I've toured both Kindercare and The Children's Courtyard in Valley Ranch)
Cons:
- the teachers in infant & toddler classrooms barely speak English, or any language at all (they are really quiet people!)
- no webcam
- tiny classrooms (this may not apply to preschool and up)
- no nursing room or even a chair available
- high turnover with teachers
- menu is full of processed, non-nutritious foods
- no online or auto-pay possibility (I hate writing checks!)
Although both my son and I just LOVE the director and the assistant director, I've decided to take him to The Children's Courtyard in Valley Ranch mainly because of better teachers (happy and nurturing, unlike the ones in Primrose), webcam, indoor play yard (the Texas weather - always either too hot or too wet!), bigger class rooms, and a better menu (more fresh foods). Our first day is this Friday and I can tell you more about it later, if you'd like.
