We have a homeschool group that meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 am at Matthew Rd. Baptist Church in S. Grand Prairie. We meet at 10 and stay until around 1:00. You can come for part of it, or all of it. The kids range from unborn to 11 years old right now. We've got three or four in the 10 and 11 year old range. We do some type of structured activity, crafts, singing, and a "free play" (games and stuff) every week. Most of us pack a lunch and just eat it when we get hungry. It's not exclusive to the church. There are a few families who come who are not church members and don't ever plan to be church members. We've just started doing this in the past few months. Please let me know if you have any questions, please email me at ____@____.com also have some field trips planned.

You might try the YMCA. I believe right now they are having scoccer. That is a great way. Or how about your church.

Might be a good time to focus on finding a church home...one that offers lots of activities for the children. Then, not only will he be out doing activities you can invite some of the children to your home to visit.

Boy Scouts is an excellent activity, too. They have such a wonderful program with projects that offer community services and other life experiences that boys need to learn. Your son is the perfect age.

B., I know some of the gyms have open play time for homeschooled children. That would be a great opportunity for him to meet some other kids. I believe ASI offers it, and I can't remember the other one...It's off of Eden Rd, next to Pump It Up.
