I want to find out the gender of my child (for fun and excitement purposes). I have read about "Inteligender" at home gender prediction test and am wondering if anyone has used it and had their ultrasound confirm the results. Im 15 weeks pregnant so my ultrasound is right around the corner, but just as fun Id like to try this test, but am wondering if its legit! Thanks!

So What Happened?

Ok - so Im not going to waste my money on the inteligender! I did the ring test and I think it is going in circles. I held it over my sons hand and it seemed to go back and forth and then it was more circular over my belly! So, maybe a girl? who knows! I will wait for my confirmation in November! Thanks for all the replies!

Hey Jen,

Waiting is tough sometimes, isn't it!? Well, I haven't known anyone who has used the intelligender thing. Personally, I wouldn't waste the money, but I do love old wives tale stuff, they can be really fun to try. (and free!) Here is a link to a site that has lots of fun ways to try and guess the gender of the baby. Enjoy! Its only 4 more weeks to go =)http://www.babygenderprediction.com/

If you got money to burn and simply cannot wait four more weeks to find out, then sure give it a try. But I wouldn't hang your hat on the results or start painting the nursery until you see twig and berries or don't see twig and berries!

My sister used it. It said she's having a girl. The ultrasound says boy. I wouldn't waste my money.

I have never tried it myself either, but I know many people who have, and not a single one has ever been right!
I know it can be hard, but just hang on for the next 5 weeks!!!
Good Luck and Congrats on your pregnancy!

Put your wedding ring on a piece of hair and hold it over your belly. If it goes back and forth, it's a boy, if it goes round and round, it's a girl. It's been accurate every time I've used, and on all 4 of my friends who tried it. If you doubt it, try holding it over your husband's hand, and you'll see it goes back and forth.

I'm 18 weeks with #2. At 13 weeks I took the test, exactly as the directions stated. I made sure to avoid the mistakes that would skew the results (Check Online). My result came back BOY! It took a few days for it to sink in, and I was completely at peace with another boy on the way. I did, however, schedule a gender prediction ultrasound (2D) at a 3D Ultrasound provider. I was so suprised when she told me I was going to have a girl -- but I saw it with my own eyes... It was fun taking the test, and 82-90% accuracy is pretty darn high. Have fun!

I haven't used it myself (I don't believe in peeking!) but for $35 I'd probably just sit tight and wait the 5 weeks - esp. since it's only 82% accurate according to their website. Figure a random guess is 50% accurate. Even a sonogram is only about 95% accurate (better for boys than girls). Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! It will be over before you know it...

It was correct for my niece on her child, but it doesn't seem like very many others had very good luck with it! The test does have a 50% chance of being correct. If you want to have some fun, do the test, but I wouldn't count on it being accurate!

Hi Jen...
I don't know about inteligender...but I can tell you the old wives tale one, where you put a ring on a string and hold it over your belly to see if it goes in a circle, or back and forth was accurate for me...both times!!! And best part about it is it's FREE :)

Blessings from my family to yours!
