I wouldnt worry too much. Your body knows how much little love needs, and will increase it when he needs it, and you being away for a little while wont decrease it either.
I am nursing my son who is coming up on 6 weeks. Tomorrow I have tickets to Paul Mccartney at the Apollo and must go.
My sister is babysitting and will leave her bottles of pumped milk. My concern is What if my son has his growth spurt
tomorrow. Will him eating from a bottle from 6-12 affect my supply? Or is it no big deal as I can increasae my supply
later with the pump? I am so tortured by this as I hate to leave him but I cannot miss this opportunity. Any advice? Not
Sure he will cluster feeding as of yet but just in case. Help! Thanks!

Hi S.,
When do you usually pump? If you're not usually pumping after nursing, why don't you do that today and tomorrow (before going to the concert...not while you're there!)? That will stimilate your body to make more, but won't require you to interrupt an evening out with pumping (which could be quite stressful in a busy public setting).
I also was quite anxious about disruptions to our usual nursing/pumping schedule when my daughter was an infant and realized (with time) that minor disruptions such as what you're discribing were nothing to worry about in the long run. Your son will be a-ok and hopefully you will have a relaxing night out. All the best,
J.
My advice; go and have fun. He will be fine.
I would just keep pumping as much as you can to keep up with supply and to increase supply just in case. Pump at the same time as he nurses on the other side. Pump in the morning before he wakes (if possible). Pump as soon as you get out of the concert. Nurse just before walking out the door.
A few facts: fresh pumped milk can keep on the counter for up to 8 hours, in the fridge for up to 7 days (away from the door), and may be reheated once for the next feeding if he doesn't finish a bottle. Heat or reheat under running hot water or by putting bottle in a container of hot water. Have fun!
You will probably not throw off your supply in 1 night out. You can always get formula to have in the house just in case. Maybe you can get a doctor/hospital sample?
