Hello there...my daughter is 6 months old and I am planning on getting her ears pierced. She sleeps on her belly. I was wondering if anyone has a baby who sleeps on her belly that has her ears pierced? Does it bother your baby? Also, I live on Long Island in Suffolk County, is there any place that you can reccommend that does a nice job piercing ears for infants? Thanks! Have a nice day :)
I had mine done the day I left the hospital after being born. Didnt bother me any, slept right through my mom said lol. It really doesnt bother babies as much as people say. She will sleep just fine anyways she does. I recomend going to the mall and seeing who pierces them there. I got mine at a Piercing Pagoda thing, still love my earings today. Get them while they are young and wont remember! Lol. Once they get older then it is harder.
My daughter was 7months old when I got her ears pierced and she slept all over the place. I would recommend just having them pierce it with a small gold ball or little diamond and then after 6 weeks or so u can change it. I dont know about places in Lond Island that are good at piercing infants ears, I took my daughter to Wal Mart and they had 2 ladies there and they did it at the same time. So she wouldnt be moving all around. You can check with Wal Mart or go to your closest mall and see what places are in there that pierce ears. I hope this helps!
I got my daughters done when she was 6 months. We never had any problems with them getting red and swollen or infected. She is 18 months now and has never pulled or yanked them, we changed them for the first time in October. I just went into the store and explained that I had an infant and didn't want the backs to fall off so they let me purchase the studs that they pierce with. I think we will be buying earings with locking backs for a few years just to be safe.
I don't think it matters what way they sleep.
I would recommend Claires or Piercing Pagoda, which are found in most malls.
I got my daughters done when she was 4 months old. Never had a problem, I was able to keep them clean and they never got infected either. I suggest doing them young as if you wait til they get older they play with them a lot and that can lead to infection. She is 22 months now and she doesnt even realize they are there. I do use the locking backs so they dont fall out while she is sleeping or playing. Good luck!
I always wanted to get my daughters ears peirced when she was an infant, should of did it cause now she wants to wear ear rings, but doesnt want to sit in the chair long enough to get it done.
Ive had plenty of neices whos parents got their ears peirced when they were infants and theyve said it never bothered them. Just as long as they dont get caught on anything.

my daughter is 5 months old and i just got her ears pierced 2 weeks ago.
she usually sleeps on her back but as of lately weve found her sleeping on her side or her tummy. she doesnt even realize she got earings on and she looks adorable with them.
now as to the where, we went to the broadway mall in hicksville and got her ears pierced at the piercing pagoda, they were great. they explain to you everything from what and where you need to sign to ow theyll pierce your babies ears and how to clean their ears, its great.
