My older 2 sons wish to play baseball or something but unfortnately everything that the schools send home costs a mint. As in $200 for entry and league costs then you have to buy all of your own equiptment which costs another $100- 200. Which when you add that all up means for the both of them $700-800 for them to play. Now my husband and I make decent money but I just don't have that kind of money to spend like that. Does anyone know of a program that doesn't cost a fortune to play? I would appriciate anything reasonable in cost, I most definately am NOT looking for FREE. I realize that that just doesn't exist anymore. The Umps and electricty must be paid.

What can I do next?

Check with your local Salvation Army. They sponsor the Boys and Girl's Club of America and offer cheerleading, baseball, basketball and football in many communities. I live in Sand Springs and they are a popular and affordable option here.

Good luck!!

Try the Park and Recreation department or the YMCA, they are usually quite inexpensive to play sports.

You didn't mention the ages of your kids and that is important. The Parks associations usually have good rec teams that are really cheap./ Also I found the YMCA had some pretty inexpensive team activities.

If the kids are older, you may be out of luck- like say high school age. At that point, they would need to play on the school team. You could also start your own league!
