I have a friend who just had an unplanned c-section with her second child and needs help caring for her two year old the last week of August. She can't lift or drive. Does anyone know any good postpartum doulas that could help? Thanks!

Go to www.dona.org and Doulas of North America and ask for post partum doulas in her area.
I loved my doula! She doesn't do it anymore, i don't think, but might be able to refer you. She's also an amazing lactation consultant.

I suggest you call Birthways. They are awesome and I even got someone probono for the labor - postpartum I believe you have to pay no matter what but they are very reasonable about professionality and being on top of arrangements for you. I would think they have plenty of good postpartum doulas as well. I only just interviewed my doula from there so from what I see I like her and plan on using her services. She is training doula though so thats why she's not charging. Good luck and let me know how it works out and what happens!
My sister-in-law is a wonderful and very caring postpartum doula. She is a great Mom herself and is wonderful with children. She is also a Reiki healer, a great bonus for someone that is in pain. Give her a call, Rhonda ###-###-####.
