I was wondering if anyone was selling a 4door car or maybe a minivan at a reasonable price. I have a preschooler, a toddler and a month old baby and need some kind of transportation to get around. Anything from 1996 to 2003.

What can I do next?

Call tow companies and repair shops, they often have cars that are abandoned. Often they are sold for the money they have in them.

check craigslist.com for your area
then cross check what the person is asking vs what the vehicle is worth on kbb.com

I've had good luck with Honda Civics in that age range. It's a tight fit, but you can fit three carseats in the back if you're careful.

Cheap/reliable? Can afford insurance and registration? Do you know the cost of these things?

Once you find a car in which you're interested take it to a trusted mechanic and have it checked out. It's worth the price to be more sure about it's reliability.
