I don't think Heather read your question... Anyway, nutrition is HUGE in pregnancy, and most problems can be avoided in pregnancy with proper nutrition. The same good diet in general for pregnancy is what can help now with threatened diabetes. Small frequent meals-breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Have good protein- three different kinds with each meal and one for snacks. Remember that the body sees natural sugars the same as sugar so don't eat any kind of sugar without protein or it will spike your blood sugar. If you want some dessert, eat it right after dinner so you are not tempted to eat too much and it won't spike your blood sugar. Babies LOVE veggies! Drink plenty of water and salt your food to taste. Sodium in processed foods is much different than salt on natural whole foods. I hope this helps. Good luck!
