OK Here is my problem. I am 2 mth. late and every test I have taken has shown negative. I am also experiecening soreness of the breasts and I am getting very sick to my stomach and some pain. I have an IUD in that is not suppose to give me a monthly but for the past 2 yrs. I have had one every month. I am wondering if it is the IUD that is maling to tests show negative? Tomorrow I am going to get a blood test done. If the blood test shows negative I really don't know what to do. Has anyone had this problem before? I could really use some insite. I do not have any medical insurance so my options are pretty limited.

What can I do next?

yeah um i the first question is do you check to see if your iud is in place and make sure its still in and if it is not then you could be pregnant. and if you are with the iud then you would have to take it out or it could hurt your baby. any way i think you should see a doctor even if you dont have insurance because nothing is more important than you an your child.

Maybe you should go to your local health department and get your IUD checked out. If you income is low enough it will be free, but if not it will cost you a $5.00 record maintence fee.
Hope that helps.

Take out the IUD. Those things are quite dangerous and cause all sorts of health issues. I had one many yrs ago and bled like there was no tomorrow. I could have died from the blood loss I'd suffered! TAKE IT OUT...Then go from there. Have your blood work done, discover if you're pregnant and pray!

God Bless You! RELAX and remember that babies are a gift from Heaven sent to us to teach us something. Enjoy them whenever and regardless how or when they arrive!

sincerely,

I understand your worry I myself have had it too!!! I have now had my IUD in for almost 2 years and I too have had my monthly almost the whole time. And then it just stoped, and my breast were so sore and I felt like I was having morning sickness... I took so many at home preg test I should have taken out stock!!! I knew something was up with my body no matter what that little stick said... So I call the doc and the nurse kinda blew it off as side effects of the iud. So I started to do some research and I find that you and I are not alone. I did not have a blood test through my doc I had a physical exam to make sure the IUD was still in place and it was... There are so many side effects that no one tells you about. So if your blood comes back neg, you need to talk to your doc about the effects this is having on your body. This was just my 2 cents hope it helps... also do some research, it will help.

What IUD are you guys getting that the docs say won't give you a cycle???? I constantly had one every single month like clock work of course mine was the copper non-hormone, but everyone else I know withthe hormone driven one has a cycle like clock work. The only people I know who miss a period with one is when it slips and they are expecting. Also on the stickPGtest if you have Thyroid problems and or certain meds the PG hormone will not be strong enough in your urine to get results even the docs urine test will sometims not work. Best to you on finding out.

Is your IUD an Mirena? I've known a few people who have had that one. They can stop periods completely (just ask my sister who didn't have one for a few years after getting hers). And they can sometimes take awhile to adjust your body's hormone levels. So, yeah, you've probably just adjusted to it, kwim? If you need some advice on birth control (like asking "Dude, what the heck?") you might call your local Planned Parenthood office or something similar. Most of them implant IUDs, so they'd have a doctor available who could probably answer your question for little or no charge.

Take care!

On that note, everyone's body is not the same. I had an IUD after giving birth to my daughter and I had a cycle EVERY month and it was 3 times worse than before I got the IUD. I had an extremely heavy flow, my legs cramped really bad, my breasts were sore. My leg cramps got so bad that I was at the doctor all the time, so finally my gyno just removed it. He put me on some BC pills. All of them had some type of effect either on my blood pressure or my cycle. So I haven't taken a pill since Dec. 3, '07. The last time I had a cycle was in March '08. I have been having pains for a couple of years now, in my breasts and down there. I've been to 4 different specialists for the pains and have had 2 minor surgeries and still no answer or relief. I don't have the pains constantly but when they come it's awful (they don't last long-good thing). The gyno told me that if I wasn't "trying" to have a baby then not to worry about not having a cycle, but that's a NATURAL part of a woman's life, so I disagree with him; however, no one else has been able to give me an answer either so I've just stopped worrying about it. That may not be good, but the only thing I'm getting as a result of going back and forth to all these doctors is BROKE so I just pray for my healing. I'm sorry I didn't have much advice, but you're not alone in this. There are several of us. I hope you get some answers, better ones than I did. Keep me posted on what happens.

I seriously doubt that you are pregnant with all of those negative tests. Plus, an IUD is about 99% effective (or higher). You need to get to a doctor and have some tests run. I'm not trying to scare you, but if you do not feel normal, you need to have it checked out. It's not good that you don't have insurance, but maybe they can set you up on a payment plan. I don't know what your options are without insurance, but you can't take chances with your health. I wish you the best of luck. Please let us know if you find out anything.

I just got an IUD put in a little over a month ago and my DR told me that my period should stop around 6 mos. She said it will not keep me from producing an egg each month though, so you could just be sore from your body ovulating.

Sounds like you may be having a reaction to the IUD.
Get rid of the IUD and try another (non-hormone inducing) type of birth control.

Where did you get your iud. Are you on family planning? If you are then that should cover you. I would check with them and see if they can help you. Also if it comes back negative, I would not waiste time worrying about having or not having insurance because your life is priceless!!! I am sure your hubby and family would agree!!!!!

Not saying you are or you aren't but I will say that I took 7 test when I was expecting my little boy and they all came back neg. I had blood work done and it showed I was preg. If your blood work comes back neg. you need to see a doctor. Sounds like something isn't just right.

Good luck
