Hi moms!
I am in the process of planning our daughter's Fancy Nancy birthday party, and my hubby and I are trying to figure this out. We are inviting the girls in my daughter's class and are having it at our house. We are going to have four stations for them to rotate through (decorate their cupcake; make a beaded bracelet; decorate a journal cover; and get nails painted). After sharing those ideas with my hubby, he suggested that we should have something so the moms can kick back and relax too. But what?!?! I am stumped. I thought about some kind of pampering station for their hands or something like that and of course they will be able to snack and have punch. I greatly appreciate any ideas that you might have. Thanks in advance!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, Moms! You echoed my thoughts as well! Our daughter is going to be 5, and I am going to have friends of mine (who don't have kiddos) manning the stations. I appreciate you responding to my question! Have a great rest of your weekend!

Just make sure you have enough supplies for the moms to participate in the centers. You will be surprised at how many will actually do the activities with their daughters!

Well I always have the parties at my house. Sometimes the moms stay and hang out sometimes not.
I would not have a pampering station..although its a cute and creative idea.
I think you have enough going on without thinking about the adults.

I wouldnt worry about doing much for the moms. It's your daughter's birthday, the kids are the ones that should be having a great time. I think the moms will enjoy seeing their daughters have a great time :)

i just wanted to offer that sometimes the moms enjoy helping out, instead of just sitting there watching. I think that's one of those things that you need to have enough helpers in place for the girls in case no moms stay, but if mom's do say, it would be great if you had little easy jobs that they could help with, like after the cupcakes were decorated removing them to the counter to set until snack time or something like that.

I would just have an adult snack area and beverages for them (i.e. bottled water, iced tea, coffee) As a mom, I go to parties for my daughter's entertainment. I'm not sure I would feel comfortable participating in anything specified for the adults at a child's party unless it were family.

You don't say how old your daughter is... Will the parents be participating/assisting the children with the crafts?

Your hubby sounds like a great guy, to think of the moms like that. a pamper station sounds fun, but I am sure it is not expected. Most parents want to be able to chat while the kids are haing fun.

I agree with Carrie! The party sound like you have enough going on without having to worry about the moms. I don't think any of them would be expecting to be entertained also. It is a children's party, and will most likely be enjoyable enough to watch their children enjoy themselves! The only thing i think you should provide is snacks or lunch and drinks for them=)
