Hi y'all! My 3-year-old daughter wants a "Cars"-themed party, and I had been waiting to find out when my hubby wanted to do it. Today he told me it will be one week from today. So it's pretty short notice but I've just invited friends from across town and tomorrow morning will in-person invite her friends on the block. My daughter's friends and neighbors range in age from 2 to 10 years, and most of them are boys. We're just having a gathering with pizza and a "Cars" cake and I wrote on the invitations to bring no gifts (my daughter has more toys than she knows what to do with and I don't want to seem like we're trolling for gifts. She already got lots of gifts from her family.) It will likely be too cold to play outdoors where we are on party day.
Are there any quick, inexpensive ideas for fun things to do indoors with a variety of ages of kids? Any neat Cars-themed ideas you can share with me? Many thanks! *Peace*!

What can I do next?

If you have time... blow up a picture of Lightening McQueen, have it laminated (teacher's stores do this fairly cheap), make some wheels, put double-sided tape on the back & play "Pin the Wheel on Lightening McQueen".

If you're serving ice cream, at one point, Breyer's made a checkered flag ice cream. It was chocolate & vanilla flavored.

You can also play bingo & the "prizes" can be cars related, they even have Cars fruit snacks.

When my daughter was 3, she wanted a "Queen of the Racecars" party... she thought that was Lightening McQueen's name. We had a great time @ her party & I know you'll have a great time @ your daughter's

I've seen a ton of CARS easter items at the store. I don't know about games, but you could easily get a CARS easter basket and use that to hold your chips/popcorn/candy.

You could let the kids decorate some 'cars' (you should be able to find cardboard boxes fairly cheap, and some strips of fabric to make shoulder straps) Then you could let them race around the house with them. OR if you don't want to do the hassle of decorating cars themselves, you could get some wooden hoops for 'steering wheels' and let them decorate those instead... and still have a race. If you are going to do it inside, you could do 2 person races at a time, and around one specific room. BUT if the weather is nice enough, you could let them outside long enough to race around the house or yard. (Wear them out a little bit before cake and ice cream. lol.)

Get some match box cars and do races. 2 at a time. Have it be a 5 or 10 foot space, see whose car crosses the finish line first (and whose car is rolled the straightest).

You could also do a game of guess the Cars character... You describe the character and see who can guess the correct name.
