I think almost any ache and pain is normal. If something is ever unbearable it is a good idea to check. I remember lots of "loosening up" aches in my lower back and those being especially uncomfortable. Your body's already done this, so sometimes it is just a little ahead of itself. Some cramping is also normal, again from things shifting around, growing, etc. Any aching accompanied by any spotting or bleeding is worth a quick call to your OB just to check. Congratulations! :)

Yes, I am due in 3 weeks and my hips have been a problem throughout and are now at their worst. Start stretching daily now - your hips and hip flexor (the area that hurts in front) I didn't address mine until it was really bad. Don't wait. If it does get bad ask your doctor about seeing a physical therapist. You can try kneeling on one knee, use a couch arm for balance and then tuck your hips under you. Then slightly lean forward. You should feel a stretch in your hip flexor. Prenatal yoga classes are great too.

Totally. And it sucks! ;) With both my kids I had terrible hip pain! It only lasted for the first trimester (and a half maybe) but it was horrible. My OB said it was totally normal and it did go away, but it was worse with the second. I'm sure those all to familiar aches will come back to you soon. I hope you have a great pregnancy and congrats!!!

I forgot about this! That is probably exactly what it is. Your ligments get more flexable to help you deliver later. What a pain! I hope it gets better, but I would consult the doctor if you are too uncomfortable to be safe.

It is totally normal. Your ligaments are stretching to accomodate your little one entering the world later on. Like Mitzi said, since you have gone through pregnancy, your body has 'memories' if you will, on stretching itself. However, it's always good to double check with your obgyn/midwife/provider for any pains. Always good to be cautious. HOpe this helps and congratulations! =)

Ah, yes, good ol Round Ligament Pain! My midwife had a suggestion for me that worked every time. Press your hand/fingers into the skin where the pain is, lean over towards it, and put your foot up a little bit (like on a chair rung or something). Hope that helps.
