I have a close friend that has a similar problem - she only has one ovary though because she had to have one removed due to severe ovarian cysts. The problem she had was that she only ovulated every other month - so after months of just trying... they decided to try those ovulation prediction kit things. It was not long after that they found out they were pregnant. She said that after she started using the kit, she was a lot more relaxed - because before when they were just trying on their own, she would get so disappointed every time she would have a negative pregnancy test - and that probably just added to the trouble with getting pregnant in the first place!
Whatever you do/try - good luck :)

I also had one fallopian tube left after an eptopic pregnancy. My daughter was 7 mos, i had gotten pregnant with twins, and lost them. That's basically how i ended up with one tube. The doctor said you can still get pregnant with one fallopian tube. I don't know how long you've been trying to get pregnant but it really doesn't have nothing to do with what you're eating since you already had a baby. I actually waited like 4yrs before i had my son. Maybe you're thinking about it too much and that itself could prevent you from getting pregnant. Try to relax, accupuncture helps a lot too. Good luck k?

A friend of mine had 3 successful pregnancies after an ectopic pregnancy. Only one tube, but it did not take her too much effort. I don't think your eating will directly affect your pregnancy, but it will affect your overall health.

I know that my answer will not be the most popular but may give you a good idea on how to proceed on this matter.
Is your husband or boyfriend in on your plans? The title is "I want to get pregnant" You'll be surprised how many people out there are deciding to have kids without the knowledge and approval of their partners. This action often leads to serious problems in the relationship and can break one.
Be happy and nurture what you already have; there may be a reason why your situation is what it is.
By the way what you eat (unless you're overly fat or super skinny) have little or no consequence in you getting pregnant.

It IS possible to get pregnant with one tube, but I think it's more difficult. Talk to your doctor about it. It's always important to be giving yourself the optimum nutrition and balanced diet you need when you want to conceive. I don't know that it actually has anything to do with women who only have one tube conceiving or not, but it certainly can't hurt!

Dear J. L.

Eating properly can help but will still be a struggle without proper supplementation. The following program was given to me by a doctor and it worked well.

Ovarian Complex - 60 Capsules - 2 capsules twice a day for 6 to 8 weeks. - http://ndinutraceuticals.com/product39.html

Uterus Homaccord - 1 OZ: 10 drops under the tongue 3 times a day. - http://ndinutraceuticals.com/product402.html

Livachol - 60 Capsules - 2 capsules twice a day for 6 to 8 weeks - http://ndinutraceuticals.com/product237.html

In 8 to 12 weeks you should be able to get pregnant.

There are other things you can do to improve your chances but this usually is all you need.

Good Luck

Kim

I'd check with your doc, ask about nutrition and minimize stress - it plays a big part in our physiology!! Good luck.

I had my left tube and ovary removed in '92 and had my youngest child in '94. And that was after being off the pill for 1 month. I don't think having 1 tube is an issue because I was told that your remaining one takes over and functions for both.

I'm not a doctor and I don't know anything about you... your age, your health status, your weight. Being overweight or underweight can affect your getting pregnant. Alot of women have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and don't know anything about it. I do know that the treatment is a low carb (processed food) diet and excercise. So your diet could have something to do with it.

Good Luck!!

I had the same issue. My husband and I were together 11 years b4 I conceived. It came down to an old fashioned remedy. I recall sitting in church on a Sunady in the early part of fall. Several parishioners constantly asked us " when are you going to have a baby?" An elderly woman noticed
my embarrasment regarding this subject. She whispered to me, its alright,
"If you and your husband take geritol you will be pregnant by christmas."
A few of my husband co-workers were having the same issue. Someone told one of his coworkers to wear boxers in order to conceive. So the entire group ,including my husband and I took Geritol and the men wore boxers. We were all very much pregnant by Christmas!

Diet can help with fertility. Hit hard on fresh fruits and vegetables. Decrease your carbs. and red meats. Eat chicken and fish instead. Drop your caffeine intake and your processed sugar intake. It is recommended to keep the caffeine low throughout pregnancy. It can cause miscarriage.
