i know the idea of the paranormal is not something that is generally openly discussed, but how many people out there think im crazy because i believe in it? this isnt something i blindly believe in, this is something that literally runs in my family, we see, hear and seem to simply know things, am i gonna be the only one to come out and say something or do other people other than fb friends know what i mean?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

i know a lot of people are afraid of things they dont understand, luckily for me, its one of those family traits we just keep passing down, so it doesnt bother me so much. this doesnt mean ill go to my friends house and play around upstairs, because something has showed a serious distaste for me, but at the same time, i usually dont have too many problems at my mom's place. i do still envy my uncle for getting regular visits from my great grandmothers, both of whom i knew, but hey, cant have everything right?

i wouldnt say its a gift all the time... more often than not i wish it wasnt my problem, its more of using it in a way that i can live with rather than fighting or trying to reject something thats not gonna go anywhere.

D.,
Energy remains after the people, events, circumstances are long gone. That's just a fact. Some people pick up on it (sense it) more than others. My mother's house has a 50+ year history of paranormal activity. We've all experienced it. Some to more degree than others. Nothing scary or harmful. It's not something to be afraid of.
Try to find a group of like-experienced people in your area and learn about it. Often fear is the result when something is not understood. You're not crazy, you're just sensitive to/aware of the energy.
Good luck!

D.,
I would describe myself as a pretty skeptical person. I have had 0 experiences with paranormal activity and have always written them off in the past. A few years back, a friend told me about a few paranormal experiences she had. I am sure I looked at her like she was crazy, because at the time I was thinking "REALLY? Do people my age really still believe in ghosts?!" However, with so many people sharing posts on this site re the paranormal, it has opened my eyes a bit. I wouldn't say I am a believer per se, but no longer a DIS believer :) I think, just keep sharing your experiences. I love this site in that there are so many different points of view to consider and it is very eye-opening for me and for others, I am sure.

Anything is possible -seriously! One fascinating thing about this world is the fact that things we thought were impossible are constantly being found to be possible! I completely believe in the paranormal in a number of ways, and it's very common for it to be a "passed trait" in a family.

Denise P. is correct -no matter what your beliefs regarding science and religion, energy NEVER dies -no matter what. We are made of energy as is everything, and it changes form but it doesn't cease to exist. Even the most doubting person has had experiences where they walk into a place and automatically feel closer to someone they've loved or they feel a "negative energy." You're not crazy -just aware!

I don't think you're crazy one bit. I'm Christian and the bible is full of angels, demons, the holy spirit, and other beyond-worldy events. There is more to life than just what we see and touch -- electricity for example.

Glad that you are secure in yourself. What a wonderful gift to have been given.

I don't think you are crazy at all. Some people are just able to see and have that intuition that are more refined than others. I have seen three ghosts in my lifetime so far and I know I don't have any gift (I was also with other people who saw it as well). I have a cousin that sees a shadow of a person walking by and it only usually happens right before someone in our family dies (we have a very huge family).

Hi D., actually I often see posts regarding paranormal.

The way I feel? I believe anything is possible. I don't dis-believe in anything.

And I enjoy reading such posts.

Does that answer your question? Tehehe

I feel anything is possible and just because I can't see it - but may feel it - doesn't mean it's not there. That is the argument many will use for having "faith in God"... which I do NOT share, at least not in the mainstream way... seems it's usually religious people who try to debunk the paranormal, yet expect others to believe THEM when they talk about a nebulous God.

I am a psychic/medium, I would guess you and many of your family members are too. There are many books and a lot of info online on how to strengthen your ability. You may also want to join a paranormal investigation group in yor area.
Being psychic/medium is a gift you can help a lot of people. I do readings and sometimes reading parties. About 2 yrs ago I was doing a party and as a I was finishing a reading with a lady I suddenly saw her surrounded by doctors and nurses, she said her health was fine and we ended her reading. A few months later I ran into the person who had hosted the party and found out he lady had had to have emergency gall bladder surgery about 3 weeks after the reading. I have done readings for people and they told me I was way off with the reading, while I was doing it only to find out later that everything I told them was accurate.
