I use Ovation that made my hair thicker and stronger and also made it grow faster. www.ovationhair.com. But if it is more serious then I have heard that Regenix works great for women. Best of luck!
My hair has always been kind of thin but recently I've noticed that I can see more of my scalp near my hairline (right around where your bangs would be. Depending on how I style my hair, its more noticeable. I'm freaking out! My baby is 16 months old so I don't think its related to pregnancy hair loss. Anybody go through this and what can I use (shampoo, etc.) to keep from slowly growing bald??! :(

Hi S. S. My third respond to you today. The answer is yes, I started loosing my hair 2 hospital stay, sitting in church strand after strand falling out, I was freaking out in tears, my husband started researching for me he was listening to Dr. Laura ask she mentioned using Ovations, so he ordered it for me, it;s amazing, my hair stopped falling out I started getting a lot of new hair growth and my hair got longer. I was afraid to even brush me hair, now I love my hair again. Julue
nioxin shampoo and conditioner has been known to help hair loss. i'd also check in with your doctor to see if you have a hormonal imbalance?? could be a sign of inadequate diet too? my sister had a hair loss issue and it turned out to be her thyroid was off. she's now medicated and the problem is slowly correcting itself. totally not judging you, just throwing ideas out there. best of luck getting the problem resolved!!!
hi
also wanted to suggest vitamims. prenatal vitamins and omega 3's are great for hair and skin. (and yes I had massive hair loss from both my babies). now i'm covered with these short little things that stand straight up as they try to grow back.
check to see if you have a thyroid problem. Right before I found out a had a thryroid pr I noticed I was loosing some hair.
Are you going through a lot of stress right now? That can cause your hair to fall out. If so try meditation or some other natural stress relief.
Another possibility is if you have long hair, a shorter cut can help.
i would go talk to a dr first before you start any over the counter shampoos or products!!
you need to see a doctor asap, women going bald or thinning hair is usually a sign of an underlying medical problem.
*sigh* yep, I'm going through it right now. It's been happening over and over for the past 1.5 to 2 years. Oddly, it falls out at the hairline, then grows back in. It's done this over and over and over. I had all the medical tests (everything was normal), went to the Derm, etc. The derm recommended nioxin, but when I asked how long I had to use the product he said "forever." Um, nope, not for me. So what I did was go to www.cosmeticsdatabase.com and research hair products that are low on toxicity levels. Then I bought a Biotin supplement and take it daily (promotes hair/nail growth). Both have helped quite a bit, but not 100%. But it's better than it was. Good luck, I can empathize!
I have the exact same problem. I brought it up to my dr to have my thyroid checked since my hairdresser felt that was most likely the issue, but it wasn't. Thyroid checked out fine. I will keep on eye on your post to see what has helped other women!
This happened to me too and I also freaked out. I talked to my stylist about it and she said it could still be hormone related after having my youngest even though it was much later than I would have thought birth/pregnancy to be the culprit. I started using Aveda Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner and it's much better, so much so I've gone back to my regular Aveda shampoo after just one bottle of the other stuff....not sure if it's the shampoo/conditioner or the timing though.
Hair grows from the inside out. Putting stuff on the top and expecting it to work seems silly to me. I remember about 7 years ago my hairdresser gasped when she was cutting my hair. I asked her what was wrong. She looked so sad and said "you are thinning". What a relief! I thought I had lice or something! LOL! I too looked at all the medical stuff. Nothing appealed to me, I was 34 and I didn't want to start on drugs that I would have to be on forever. I wanted to learn a natural way to either reverse or at least stop the hair loss. I started to feed my body better nutrition and WOW what a difference. Not only did my hair stop thinning, i have to cut my nails more often, i have to shave and pluck more often...and I will tell you...I would rather have that than hair loss/and or drugs any day! This is where I stated. www.SoYouWantToCleanse.com

Hair loss can be hereditary. My aunt was bald and wearing wigs by age 22. I started losing my hair at 16, starting right on the crown of my head. Thanks to Rogaine, though (actually, generic store brand minoxidil, now) I no longer look ridiculous. :) My hair will never be thick again, but as long as I keep using the minoxidil, I don't have shiny pink scalp showing through.
Rogaine for women. I used it after all my medical tests ( thyroid, testosterone, follicular stages) came back normal. It stopped my hair from falling and I got new growth.
