I SoftCups And IUD - Anyone Used These Together?

I'm very intrigued by the softcups-type product, and would like to try it out, but the box says not to use it with an IUD, as there is some risk of tugging on the string and dislodging it. Instinct tells me this is probably a "covering our bases because the legal department said we had to" type of thing, and I remember asking about the IUD getting dislodged when I got it, and the doc said it was unlikely that I'd dislodge it accidentally. I'll call and ask the nurse about this specifically, but I though I'd see if anyone out there has any real-world experience.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, ladies, I appreciate it. The Diva Cup wasn't even on my radar - I've never heard of that before, but I am definately going to look into it. Mostly, I'm interested in something new because I have two very, very active small children, and I intend to keep up with them. If I can also use something that is environmentally friendly, too, then I'm sold on trying it. Thanks again for the recommendation, and the reassurance, too.

Softcups really don't work that well, they leak horribly and are still disposable so if you're trying to be more 'green' they aren't. I second the Diva cup. It takes a little getting used to, but they are great. I used one with an IUD for years with no issues.

Maybe you could just use a Diva Cup instead?

I LOVE the Softcups. I've NEVER had a leak, not even a drop (not even during intercourse, sorry if that's TMI). Sorry I have no experience with the IUD part of your question, but just wanted to say that not everyone has a bad experience with Softcups. I LOVE them.
