My son just turned four a couple weeks ago. I debated on putting him in preschool simply because of the price, but lately i feel like he needs to be there just for socialization purposes. Hes never around kids his own age and panics when a kid his age talks to him or attempts to play with him. I've been trying to find preschools semi cheap and as of now the cheapest i've found was 120 a week! I personally dont know anyone who can afford that and im so stuck because i don't have a car at the moment and i was counting on getting a job while he was in preschool.... uhhhhggggggg so frustrated someone please help....

please no criticism i give myself enough i dont need it from anyone else

What can I do next?

I don't know where in Plainfield you are, but if you are close enough to Bolingbrook you could try the Park District Stepping Stones program. Depending on how many days you would like him to go and how many openings they have left they are pretty reasonable price-wise and they break their tuition into 4 payments. My one son went through the program and my daughter will be starting this year. We were pleased with the teachers and results.

Romeoville Park District also offers preschool. Call the Romeoville Recreation Department- ###-###-####

I recommend the Bolingbrook Park District preschool program. We sent both of our children there and we were very happy with it. Good luck!

I run a home daycare and do a full preschool program. He could come just from 9 - 11 a few days a week and get all the interaction and learning he would need to succeed in kindergarten. You would be way lower then $120 a week, 3 days a week of those hours would be only $30 a week. Are you sure those prices were per week? Usually that would be for the month price. If you need more hours, more like full time daycare then it would depend on the hours with how much it would cost. Search my name + Plainfield home daycare and you'll find me on the web.
