We would love to go ride horses somewhere if anyone knows where to go. If that falls through though, I need a backup plan. My 9 yr old is not your typical girl. She likes the typical girls stuff, but she also hunts and fishes. If anyone has any fun ideas for a small group of kiddos, please let me know.

I don't have advice on where to ride horses but I have a back up plan idea for you. Have an animal stuffing party at your house! There are horses, moose, cows - tons of animals and even Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears.
You can order everything to be delivered to your house so the kids can stuff their own animals.

Hi P.,
I just noticed your post. It may be too late for your daughter's party, but my friend runs a beading party business and has Girl's Beading Parties. It's $100 for 10 girls, and she comes to your home with all the supplies and helps the girls make bracelets and earrings. They have fun making them, and have something to take away! (and they are good quality...not cheap jewelry)
Her website has more information and her email and phone number. www.stringmealongparty.com. Tell her D. told you about it. Good luck.
We used to have camp outs in our back yard instead of regular sleep overs. Just set up a tent in back and grill every meal.
Or if you are up to it actually take them camping at Emma Long Park (City Park)located at 2222 and City Park Road. Just ask friends if you can borrow camping gear if you do not own any. You can fish there, they have regular potties.
Ask the girls to bring their sleeping bags and flashlights.
Bastrop State Park has cabins. They are so cute, with little kitchens, fire pits, fireplaces and potties... It is about 30 minutes away from Austin. Absolutely beautiful.
