Ok I recently had my baby and went to the doctor today he asked me about birth control, I had my mind set on Mirena IUD. In the past I have used the pill but tend to forget so that option I threw out, also the depo shot I had problems with bleeding the WHOLE time and didnt really like it so threw that out, and the patch well there is no way that I will ever do that again headaches all the time no thank you! ;)Well when I was telling the doctors nurse what I had planned to do she told me that she had several people comment that it was awful and that they had more problems with it then with the depo shot. I guess what I want to know is how does those who do have Mirena IUD really feel? And those who dont what method do you prefer??

What can I do next?

I use the Nuva Ring as well and think it's great. You only have to think about it once a month.

Perhaps you should try the Nuvaring. I absolutely love it. Maybe your doctor can give you a sample to try.

I have Mirena and I love it! I haven't had any problems! I, too, would forget to take my pill and that's how we ended up with two kids 17 months apart! After my daughter was born I asked for the IUD. I have had it for about a year. I hardly have a period. . .just a little spotting. And I haven't had any side effects! It's the perfect option for me since we aren't planning on any kids for another couple of years. Good luck!

My experience with Mirena has been nothing but great! I haven't had any side effects other than not getting pregnant and not having a period. :) I wish you the best with whatever you choose.
