I Need Help - Mesquite,TX

I'm also a sahm of 4 girls & really know how you feel. It's really hard to meet other people when all you do is take care of your kids & stay at home. I don't know how old your kids are but maybe if they're close to the same age they would have something in common too! Hi M., First all let me tell you your are not ALONE!!!!! I've been in your shoes plenty of times and know how it is to be a single mom. Esp. when you don't have anyone to call up and chat or just hang out.I know when my kids started school I didn't know anyone and felt so out of place, but I joined the PTA and made some close friends. But even as adults it's hard to make friends and women really do need freinds just to chat or at times just to vent.But I do know where your coming from you love your kids but you also need some time with adults and have a conversion w/out someone saying "mommy i need this".... PLEASE CALL ME ANYTIME!!!! I have 4 kids but 2 of the four are girls and their ages are 6 and 7. Hi, M.. I am also a single mom of 2 girls (5 & 9). I live in Rockwall but work in Mesquite. I, too, no longer have a best friend that I can vent to once in awhile. How old are your girls?

Something you might consider is talking to a Stephen Minister. They are trained in a special form of counseling that is not licensed, but I don't think it's religious either. A lot of churches have them now and it would not cost you a thing.
