I Need Clever Ideas for a Parade Float

The theme is 'United We Stand' and we will be representing our mental health facility and hospice care and I need some ideas to mesh these all together in a clever way. We will be dressing someone up as Uncle Sam and Statue of Liberty, but we need something catchy that captures both the theme and the business we represent. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

I would put Uncle Sam side by side with nurses, docotrs, and hospice care providers in their uniforms. It would also be neat to do a historical-to-modern day approach. Have a nurses in uniforms that represent differenent historical periods going all the way up to present day. Or, working with the Uncle Sam theme, could you portray a trouble soldier being cared for or speaking with a nurse or doctor?

Hospices across the board use the symbol of a "butterfly". Its partly showing the process of life from birth to death and you take a different form. They also use the tree of life. I could see a float being covered with paper butterflies white then red then blue to represent Unc Sam and Liberty America themed. As in ombre or graduation scale in colors

I like what a poster said about putting Uncle Sam side by side w/a doctor or nurse.

Then you can make a float of the flag on one side & your company logo on the other side. You make the float a piece of plywood on a wagon making a
sandwich board of chicken wire which you take colored tissue paper (red, white & blue for the flag let's say) to make the flag on one side. Then take tissue paper in the color of your company logo to do the other side.

Definitely make it small scale as these tissue paper floats are time consuming to make. I've done it before on a medium size scale w/lots of
volunteers & it still took time.

Edit: Or you could have Uncle Sam walking w/people dressed as a nurse and a doctor holding up a flag & a business sign. This is smaller scale.
