Welcome to the area. Your best resource is the CHIP office - the one in Cedar Park is on Discovery Blvd. near the library. If you have medicaid, you should also be receiving CHIP benefits, and they have flyers and information about local options. I hope that helps! Congratulations and good luck on your search!
I think OBGYN North with Dr. Sebasteyen and Dr. Campaigne just started accepting Medicaid (I have an 8 week old). They are a wonderful practice with both MD's and Certified Nurse Midwives. I loved all 5 members. They deliver at North Austin Medical Center off Mopac.
Dr Vincent Sherman in Georgetown takes medicare and is very very awesome!!! He delivered both of my sons. His brother is in practice with him. Georgetown OB/GYN. I had a wonderful experience at the G-town hospital as well. CB
Dr. Amy Chapman is great! She is very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with the tons of questions I asked throughout my pregnancy this past year. She was highly recommended to me by my prior OB GYN at the Temple Scott & White. She works at the Round Rock Scott & White Clinic. I don't know about medicaide as I have Scott & White health insurance, but I know they also accepted my hubby's insurance so it would be worth a quick call to find out.
Dr. Jennifer Meadows ###-###-####. She's fabulous and convenient! I don't know about the medicare thing but they are accepting patients. Her office staff is super nice as well. She's right next to Cedar Park Hospital.
Good luck!
I like Austin Regional Clinic and they deliver at Seton Northwest (about 10 miles from CP) and Seton Main.
I would not deliver at Cedar Park Hospital. I have heard too many horror stories.
The Renaissance Women's Center is fantastic (next to North Austin Medical Center)! You might try Dr. Mills. She is so nice! A farther drive but there are tons of people who live in the C.P. area who go here (me being one of them). Oakwood Women's Center by Round Rock Hospital is great too. Dr. Orth, in particular. She is so kind!!! Welcome to Texas!
