Make a pot roast in the slo-cooker. Start if before work and after work stop home, pick it up, and take it to them in the pot.
My condolences to the family.
My cousin just had a miscarriage (would have been her 3rd child) and I want to take her family dinner (they are a family of 4 with 2 kids) So I need something kid friendly, that could be re-heated and does not contain dairy or sugar. Any ideas? I also work full time, so I need it to be somewhat easy to put together :o)

Spaghetti and meatballs
tunafish casserole
Chilli
steak and potatoes
hamburgers and fries
chicken skewers, and fries
pepperoni calzone
There are a number of foods you can make which fit the bill and don't require special ingredients.
Good luck to you and yours,
F. B.
Roasted ribs & green beans or sweet corn.
Chicken over pasta tossed in olive oil. Serve with veggies. Also could keep chicken on the side.
Beef stew.
Chicken soup.
Some sort of beans and rice dish.
Just don't eat dinner if there won't be dairy or sugar in it.
Meat and potatoes. Get a roast, throw it in a crockpot, sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix over the top, quarter potatoes and baby carrots and add on top of meat, cook on low all day. Good luck!
Pasta with red/meat sauce or pasta with pesto and/or grilled chicken. Beef stew or pot roast. Chili and cornbread. Just about any kind on non cream based soup.
So sorry for her loss, I hope she wasn't too far along :(

These dairy free stuffed shells are delicious. You could do it as a lasagna so the prep is easier.
