What is your skillset? Have you tried Monster, Craigslist, CareerBuilder? If you want to stay home, have you considered becoming a registered home daycare provider? My daughter goes to a home daycare and we pay $100 (which is admittedly low) but if you charge even $120 a week/child and keep 6 kiddos, thats $720 per week or $37440/year. Not bad for a stay at home mom, I think.
Have you tried talking to any of the staff at Gateway to see if they can help you find a job, or help you with your financial needs (food, rent, etc) in the meantime? I have the names and addresses of several people at Gateway that you may or may not know, that may be able to help. We went there for a while, but the distance proved to be too great during my pregnancy, and we are now plugged in "tightly" at FBC Carrollton.
