i have used precise carpet care for about 10 years. they are great!! i have never had to have them come back to fix anything. they are very nice too!
Hello!
I am seeking a good carpet cleaner in Albuquerque. We had to give out cat away because of my son's severe allergy to cat dander and I need a thorough cleaning for a good price. Are there any companies in town that you recommend? Also, our cat peed on the carpet near the front window and NOTHING gets this smell out. Has anyone found that having your carpet professionally cleaned can get out the smell of pet urine?
Thanks for your time!

Use vinegar and water on the carpet to neutralize the animal urine.... and BioChem is a good company.....

Hi L.,
I used to work for a Chem Dry company in Michigan when I lived there. We recently moved out here and I needed our carpet cleaned. I researched and found a Chem Dry out here. I will personally never use a steam cleaner. Chem Dry of Albuquerque came and did an excellent job...even got out stains from the previous renters. Chem Dry's process is non toxic, goes deep down but ther truck mount system gets most of the water out so the carpet dries within approx. two hours and is very clean. It's a great process for asthma, allergies, or for anyone wtih crawling children!
I do not have a cat, but they have a Pet Urine Removal Treatment (PURT) which effectively works on cat & dog urine.
Their name is Chem Dry of Albuquerque and their numbers are ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. Good luck and take care,

The smell of cat urine can be so yuk... What I do is clean it as best as I can (several times) and then put newspaper down overnight. When I pick up the paper in the morning some of the smell will be in the paper. Usually it takes about a week of doing this to really make a difference. The only thing I have found is persistence (sp?). Good luck and let us know if you find a better solution.

Dan Care Carpet (located on Paseo del Norte/west of Jefferson) cleaning is a wonderful, small, carpet cleaner! My husband use to work there for approximtely 7 years and they are very thorough and friendly. Professionaly cleaned is probably the only way that stains and smells can be removed as they have special removers that can't be purchased at the store and the stains and smells aren't likely to come back, unlike when you do it yourself. Of course it's dependent upon how long the stains have been there as well. Good luck.
Chem-Dry!!! I had to get rid of dog dander b/c my youngest daughter is allergic and same thing-the morning we got rid of the dog he peed on the floor in her room-o the nerve. I tried everything & nothing worked! Chem-Dry has this thing called P.U.R.T (pet urine removal treatment) and it works & is guarenteed to get rid of the smell. It's $25.00 a quart and that took care of the area and then some and so they clean your carpet, treat the area and if it leaves any residue or smell they come back out for FREE as many times as they need to for you to be 100% satisfied. I was super happy with them & totally reccomend their services. I called many companies before and am glad I went with them. The guy that came out to my house was named Nate and he was great & friendly with the kids too. He is an uncle and knows how to explan things to kids. My 2 & 4 year old were full of questions and he didn't mind it a bit. Call them and tell them I sent you, you can e-mail me for my last name if you'd like. ____@____.com
We just recently got our carpets cleaned by a company called You're the Boss. You can google "You're the Boss Albuquerque" to find the phone number. The guy's name is Ron and he's very friendly and professional. My carpets look great. He said all of their products are green and completely safe for children. The best part was that everything was almost completely dry in 30 minutes! I highly reccommend it.
Have you heard of a company called Melaleuca? Well, they have a product called Sol-u-mel that works great on stains and odors. When we were house training our puppy we used that on all his spots and it worked really well. I understand that cat urine is a bit more potent but it may work on that as well. Good luck!
