I have to know...my hubby and i were just talking about the royal wedding. I guess he had co workers that were getting off early today so they could nap this after noon..and evening and then be up at 3am tomorrow to watch the royal wedding, as it happens LIVE. I realize it is not 3 am every where in the united states my time..Are people on the west or middle land going to get up early early early to watch it?? I woulda watched it had it been later. Not getting up early to do it thOugh...ill catch the replay:)

Just curious. ok one my time! He wasnt sure how the time converted...even more reason for me not to get up:)

We dont have a dvr:( poo. we arent that evolved yet:)

Ok so I shouldnt feel guilty..for not getting up...I didnt, but at least I am not the only one:)

What can I do next?

Could not care less that there is a marriage happening. Did the people over there get up early to see MY wedding? I think not. Their marriage doesn't affect me at all. I really and truly don't see what the big deal is AT ALL.

Oy, I have a 6 month old--the only reason I miss sleep is if she's crying! Otherwise, I'm sure my 5 yo will make us watch it over & over again... But thanks for the reminder to set it to record!

Haha! I'm still UP at 3am most nights (I go to bed about 4am spring and fall), so it's no worries for me. My brother will actually be there.. so I'm going to amuse myself scanning the crowds trying to find him :)

Wait, you're in WA right? It would 1am your time. It's live at 4am EST.

Either way, I doubt I'll be watching it live...unless I wake up that early to use the bathroom and can find the remote...and am coherent enough to know what I'm doing...

So no, I'll be catching it on replay, lol!

I work overnights and we do have a TV in the waiting room of the ER vet hospital where I work, and if I were working tonight, I would watch, because I would be up anyway, if there wasn't anything else going on (3 am in the emergency vet clinic, you never know). But I'm off tonight, so I am home, and I am DVRing it. We need to visit my grandmother in the hospital tomorrow morning so it might be a while before I can get to it. And we are in the eastern time zone, so coverage starts at 4:00 am for us.

Sometimes my children stir around that time of night; so tonight if they do I plan on watching til I fall back to sleep. Otherwise, I have your plan to watch in the many times I'm sure will get replayed. Sweet dreams :)

we don't have a dvr either so I'm getting up! My 12 year has been going to bed an hour early the last 3 nights so she can get up for it. I asked for it off (for other reasons) but wasn't able too - but am hoping to be able to go home at noon for a nap! speaking of naps...I should go get one in before the big event!

I'm on the East coast, and I'm not getting up early to watch it. I normally get up around 6:30 to get my kids up and get them ready for school. I'll turn on the TV maybe, but I'm not getting up earlier than usual. I LOVE my sleep.

Personally, and this is just me, I would NEVER get up at that hour to watch the wedding of some people I don't know and personally don't really care about. I mean, I wish them the best, etc etc etc, but really? Has no bearing on my life. Not worth losing sleep over. But to be clear, I wouldn't watch it if it were on primetime, either...just not an interest of mine, I guess.

I'm in the middle of the country and hopefully I'll be sleeping soundly. Perhaps if it were on in the afternoon I would catch it but It will be replayed ad nausiam for weeks so I don't see the point in waking up early.

Ive never slept well so if I was to sleep tru it Id be thrilled to have had a decent nights sleep. Im sure we will all have plenty of chances to see it rerun for days! But as it turned out, I woke up at 1:15 so I got up and here I am watching. Im in CA so it started mighty early here.Im going to stick it out till I see the big deal kiss on the balcony and then try to get an hours sleep before my grand daughter shows up. Then Im sure we will watch it again on the news. She will get a kick out of it.

I got up at 7:20 am dressed had coffee. Took the train to Lucerne and met a friend. We went to another friend's apartment. I used the key to get in. We turned on the BBC and began to watch the wedding. Then we had brownies as we watched totally thrilled to see the marriage of Prince William and Catharine Middleton.
We ate lunch as we watched the royal procession and then I took the train back.

I'm making my husband DVR is for me. I feel obliged to watch the spectacle, and OK..I'm a little curious and all that. It's certainly bound to be very pretty :) But I would in no way go out of my way to watch it at some insane hour when I should be sleeping.

That's why they invented the TV guide and DVR's. It won't change anything just because its recorded.

I don't understand all the nonsense about the "royal" wedding. To me its a BIG SO WHAT. I'd much rather see a don't tax, don't spend man in the White House.

The only way I would have tried to see it is if I had received an engraved invitation and plane tickets.

we got up at 4 and watched it from bed. My hubby had to get up to work from home at 5 anyway....so why not?

Our daycare lady is British, so we've been hearing about the royal wedding for weeks and weeks. We've gotten royal wedding trivia when we drop off in the morning, it's been fun. They had a royal party yesterday and my daughter loves talking about prince william and princess kate. She even got up with us about 6:15 to watch them leave in their carriage.

I just learned about this wedding 2 days ago! We don't have cable and I guess my blinders were just on whenever I was by the magazine racks in the checkout line. I'm pretty excited to see recaps of everything though--it was probably a gorgeous wedding!

I had NO plans to get up at 3am to watch this, BUT my 5 month old had other ideas. She woke up to nurse around 2:30 and would NOT go back to sleep. SO, I went to watch tv and it just happened to be the exact moment Catherine arrived at Westminister Abby! hahaha THEN my 4.5 year old wandered out of bed.....So two of my girls and I watched for about a half hour then the baby decided it was time for bed again :o)

Don't worry, it will be shown all weekend. However, since you are able to be on line you can check the time difference between the UK and Federal Way.

Blessings...
