So What Happened?

This weekend I went to fred meyer and bought a sheet of campers foam for $19.99 and cut it up, put that in the cussions to keep there shape then I filled both front and back of the cussions with poly fill to soften them up alittle, they are still alittle stiff but much better then before, hopefuly over time they will soften up alittle. Thanks everyone!!!

I have the same issue with my fabric covered couch. It comes from people sitting too far back onto the cushions. Or like with mine my 5 y.o. daughter thinking she is a cat and laying on them. To help, the fabric store has a type of batting that is stiff. It's firmer than the quilt batting but not as stiff as foam. You can cut a piece the same size as your cushion and sandwich the stuffing in between. You will need 2 pieces for each. This should help you.

If you do decide to buy anything else(batting, cotton fill, ect..) go to a store like Walmart. You will pay much less then at a craft store.

D.,
Something that an employee in a recliner store told me was to by a bag of "quilting batting." Its supposed to be the most economical way since a BIG bag is only about $1-$2. It is used to fill quilt patches so make them fluffy. You can pick it up at a store like Michael's as the other mom suggested, or a fabric store like JoAnn Fabrics or Hancock's. I figure if the sales people say it works best rather than telling us to by filling from them, that works for me. ;)

you can get cotton fill for pillows and stuff at any art supply store like michaels. its cheap, and it'll fluff up your cushions very well.
