Are you breastfeeding?

I think the average if you're not is around 3 months or so. I'd go in and ask your doctor if you are concerned.

It's not uncommon to have a long wait between childbirth and the first period, especially if you are breastfeeding. Hormones are still fluctuating and leveling off, and so on. When did you have your tubes tied? During a c-section when you had your baby, or later? The surgery doesn't usually have an effect on periods at all, so I assume you mention it just to rule out that you could be pregnant again. I'd say the delay in periods has more to do with the birth or with something else that's going on.

If you're concerned, give your OB/GYN a call on Monday and discuss it with the doctor or the nurse. They may have some additional questions for you, such as whether or not you have any pain or other body changes going on.

For some women, especially if they are breast feeding, their periods don't come back right away after birth.
Some think they can't get pregnant without a period but they can if they aren't taking precautions.
Since your tubes are tied that shouldn't be a problem for you but it may be awhile before your periods come back.
Enjoy it while it lasts.

Having your tubes tied does not have an effect on your periods. If you are breastfeeding, that is what could be delaying your period.

Ask your doctor.
