I Got the Offer!!!!

So - first and foremost - thanks to all of you that have followed my little "job saga" since January - I really appreciated all the support!

I'm relieved to be honest. :-)

So - my offer came in $3k less than I was hoping - but still $6 more than I am currently making.

Should I ask for a counter-offer? The money really isn't that big of a deal but hate to "under sell" myself.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I voted for the California based company from the beginning! Congratulations!!

I would ask for the higher salary....they DO want you and probably expect you to. Do they have to pay a recruiter??

I'm glad you are living, breathing proof that there are jobs....many with higher pay :)

Congrats.
If you counter offer, be prepared to walk away if they won't come up. Because once you ask for more, you really can't take the original offer without "under selling" yourself, right?

I can't offer any advice. I feel like I'm the one making all the decisions here....

Congratulations though! Well done. :)

Congrats on the offer! It never hurts to present a counter offer and ask for more money. The worst that happens is they say no. Go for it!

Congratulations! I am very happy for you!

Isn't it nice to be "done" with this whole process?! It can't hurt to ask for the money, but do so graciously. Or maybe you could ask them to meet you half way at $1500? Just a thought...

Good luck!
