S.,
Something to consider- depression can come in many many forms. A few years ago I had the same problem- I could not get out of bed, felt weak and fatigued to the point where I was not getting much done ever. After going to a local clinic, I was diagnosed with depression- who knew? You CAN feel better, you just need to know what's going on. Check the clinics in your area and seek help right away- you don't want to become worse if it's a health condition causing your fatigue, and you don't want to put off treatment if it's depression either. If you were having symptoms of strep throat would you seek treatment? Of course! Fatigue is a symptom of many things that need taking care of. Your children need you to have the energy to meet their needs and enjoy them. You need the energy to meet your own needs as well. I wish you the best!

Hi S.,
First of all, you should definately get to a doctor...check into free care options in your area...but prenatal care is vital!! Secondly, I am 34 and carrying my 3rd child. My first 2 are almost 12 and 8 1/2. I have been more exhausted this pregnancy than I ever was with my others. My doctor told me (after ruling out other problems through blood work and urine tests, and making sure I am taking my pre-natal vitamin daily) that it is more than likely because I am older now. She told me to rest when ever I felt the need and not worry about it. I have cried over my tiredness because it made me feel lazy, but my hubby has been very supportive. Get to a doctor immediately...you don't want to risk loosing this baby over not having insurance hun.
Good Luck. ~M.~

You really should be tested for Lymes and even Mono. I had momo for 8 months and no matter how much sleep
I got I was still extremely tired!

Or if it's not anything like that do you exercise? If not you should. Exercising raises your energy level like you wouldn't believe. I started working out vigorously 2 months ago, when my daughter was about 2 months old and I gotta tell you my energy level is so rediculously high that even when I want to nap I can't, my body won't let me!

Otherwise, when does the insurance kick in? Some companies would allow the employee to "buy in" so to speak so that their health benefits can take effect immediately. Have your husband look into that.

Good luck! Hope you start to feel better!! :)

I have the same problem. The dr said I am very anemic. You should go to the drug store and buy Iron and B12 vitamin. That was what she told me to do. See if that works, until your husband gets insurance, if it doesn't work by then I would go to the dr. Good luck!!!!

if you can swing it out of pocket - i would suggest having a simple blood test to check your iron and thyroid levels. I myself have hypothyrodism as well as iron-deficiny anemia and both can make you very tired/fatigued. I feel that same way you described when i am not taking my thyroid medication (which the genertic is only $10 a month on average - not expensive - but i do have to take it daily).

If you can't get to a doctor right away, I would suggest upping your iron intake, and lowering your sugar intake (cut out sugar, but also watch your carbs). Make sure you are drinking plenty of water too! If you really want a boost in energy, try a diet like Body for Life. You eat healthy small meals every few hours, and it keeps you energized all day long. If you don't start feeling better in a week or so, then definitely get to a doctor!

you cannot be a good mother if you are sick or dead. Get to a doctor, they will treat you, and you might have to mail them ten dollars a month for a few years, but get some tests. You know there is a problem and you are the only one who can do something about it. If you dont, it is your own fault. Get to a doctor sweetie, your health is more important than money. Tell the doc your situation, they are required to treat you no matter what. Tell them to give you samples and do as many tests with one draw. A good health clinic will help you. google onondaga county health clinics.

Hi-
If there is an emergency room you can get to - go. They cannot turn you away and have to perform all tests necessary to help. You should not prolong this. this can be anything from anemia- to heart ailments. Especially the latter. I have seen family menbers suffer thropugh these symtoms and the results could have been diagnosed earlier and they could have made easily full recoveries, but, women in general seem to put themselves last on the list of important things to take care of-I am included in this gruop. Please don't make the mistakes I have made.
