I recently got engaged and I am determined to find a barn to have our ceremony in! I've already looked into ones that are in the area and none of them are fitting our needs right now(too exspensive, booked, not enough room etc) So I guess I need to find someone or a different place that has a large old barn with plenty of outdoor space in Minnesota that would be willing to rent to us! We're looking somewhere around the twin cities or within 2 hours south of there. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If you could find out more on the farm in Owatonna, that would be great! We really did like gale wood BUT they expect you to be done and clean up by midnight! I don't want our families coming 3 hours away to have to worry about helping clean up.

I tried to find that place near the Mississippi river but had no luck! That really sounded neat though!!

What can I do next?

I just got an email from Berry Hill Farm in Anoka saying they now have a barn available for rent. You could check their website (berryhillfarm.com). Good Luck!

If my memory of a wedding nearly 20 years ago serves me right, there is a barn in Lillydale that hosts wedding receptions. I wish I knew some details, but all I can recall is that it was white and on a street that runs parallel to the Mississippi. Good luck!!

My SIL got married 2 years ago on a historic farm home in Owantona. She and her whole wedding party were even allowed to sleep in the house. They have a huge banquet room too. The whole thing was absolutely beautiful. They even had the horse drawn carriage ride for either the bridal party or just the couple, can't remember. This place is open to the public for special occasions. I believe it is owned by St. Thomas College. I can find out for sure if you're interested or have questions.
