Not sure what to say...I think he just spaced out and forgot that I already have them. They are extremely pretty, diamond but not that expensive. Hate to waste the money on an identical pair?
They are the identical version, but a better more expensive metal. I just said thank you, and am wearing them. In a few days I willl take your advice to show them to him and say that perhaps since I already have these, we might want to exchange? (plenty of thanks and praise, tho...) or s hould I say nothing at all, since maybe he wanted a better version ofthe ones that make my ears itch? I also received the idental nightie from last year in the same color as well.
Well, I guess you could be honest when you open them up and say "I love them! They look a lot like the special ones you gave me last year. " Then wait a couple of days and show him they are the same and thank him for his good taste! Return them and let him help pick the new pair. Goodness knows we've all made the same kind of mistake (sweater doubles, etc.). Merry Christmas.
Wear the ones you got last year all day, and put off opening the new gift. Maybe he'll notice...

I also got the same negligee as last year. Same color. Shall I try a "I love it but I already have this color, how about I exchange for a different one?"
The one thing that I asked for ages ago was a birdhouse made by him that he's been saying he wanted to make me. He got the kit for it, but only ordered it on the 24th, so clearly forgot the one thing that I did want.
I'm a little concerned over all of this...it's kind of weird to me..anyone?

Or. if he won't notice, then exchange them without telling him. Not my usual way of handling things but if he's clueless he won't notice a different style and he'll feel that he did good. lol
