How/Where Can I Hire Security (Off Duty Police Officer) for a Sweet 16 Party...

We've had all of our parties at Gleneagles where we have a full membership. They always take care of the security guard. It is always an off duty Plano police officer in uniform.

I suppose you could call the police department to find out. I paid $150-$200, there was a 4 hour minimum.

He stood outside the party door to make sure when when people left, they only went to the restroom. The rule at our parties............if you leave (go outside) you don't come back in. I make sure parents and attendees know that in advance and I stick to it. No one has ever left. We have done this 3 times so far with no issues.

If you choose a venue that does not already have security & need to use an off duty Police Officer, you call the Police Department in the city where the party will be & talk to them. They handle all overtime requests, etc...

You need to call the police department you are interested in and ask if they have any officers who are contracting out for private security work. it would probably cost about 20-40 per hour.
