Don't open the package until you going to cook it. If you already open it put the tofu on water cover it and refregerator it still good for couple day.
Put it in a soup, omelet or stir fry with meat and vegetable
I just baught some Tofu the other day but I dont know how to store it once I open it. I want to cut it into bite size pieces for my 11 month old but the package doesnt say anything about how to keep the unused portion or how long it stays good for once opened. Also I could use a few ideas on how to prepare it for my son.

My son ate absolutely nothing but tofu and canned corn for the first year of his life almost. I cut it into bite site squares and sauteed it in a little oil for a few minutes until they were a little browned. Then I tossed it in a little soy sauce. Very easy to store and heat up. It's actually pretty tastey. Tastes like chicken!
Hi T....
I just dice up some tofu for my little guy, or make a sauce with pureed spinach, add diced tofu, and serve it with little pieces of pasta. Very messy, but very yummy!!! andthen just storethe tofu in a container, coveredin water, and change the water daily.
Hope this helps...

I also have an 11 month old and have wondered how to prepare it for my son. I read somewhere that once you open it you have to keep it in water and should change the water daily. There is usually an expiration date on the tofu to tell you how long it is good for.

Not sure about how long it lasts, we always ate our pretty fast. But I know that when you store it you keep it in the refrigerator completely underwater an sealed.
As for prep, I always cooked mine in a pan with frozen fruit until is soaked up all the yummy fruit juices and then served them together, mess but wonderful!!!!

I just bought a cookbook called Mom-a-licious. It's all about healthy ways to feed your family and there are tofu recipes in there. You can check out the website at www.mom-a-licious.com - you can buy he book on Amazon.
Good luck!
keep it submerged in water like in a tupperware thing and use it within a week
Whenever you first take the tofu out of the package rinse it off with fresh, cold tap water and then slice off whatever amount you need and dry it off (I usually blot with paper towel).
According to my mother, whatever tofu you don't use, put into a tupperware container that allows you to submerge the tofu in water and then seal and place in the fridge. Change out the water every other day. She also suggested that after a week, whatever tofu is left should be used solely for adult consumption, not baby's.
In terms of use, I mix it in with just about anything and everything as it soaks up flavors like a sponge. You can add them to any prepared foods, savory or sweet. My daughter is about your son's age and I make her little finger food spinach "cakes" by mixing finely chopped spinach, tofu and a smattering of feta cheese with an egg binder. I then form them into little cakes and bake them off. The sky is the limit. Just think of what foods you think the tofu would be tasty in if you were the one eating it.
Happy cooking!
