I'm lazy when it comes to BBQ chicken in the crockpot so I use a bottle of BBQ sauce and a sliced onion. It will be watery when you're done so I just thicken it up by adding some cornstarch mixed with cold water.
Hello Ladies,
First, I want to thank everyone for the wonderful recipies I've recieved for the crockpot. My family absolutely love barbecue chicken. Can someone please give me recipies for chicken in the crockpot=)? Again thank you ladies so much.

when ever I cook bbq anything in the crock, it comes out watery. so I take out the chicken/ribs when almost done and pour the broth out. put meat back into pot then add the bbq sauce with the meat. cook for another hour or two and yummo.
crockpotgirls.com is another great place for recipes : )
Easy! I use chicken breasts with about a cup of BBQ sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours or so. Drain the liquid out and add more BBQ sauce to taste. Heat for another 20 minutes on high and serve on buns. We LOVE Sweet Baby Ray's original sauce with this. Enjoy!
I have an awesome recipe for BBQ chicken. It is made in the crock pot and it is a "fan favorite", so to speak...meaning everyone I have made it for LOVES it! In fact, I made it for my neighbor and her husband when she had surgery and her husband brought the crock pot back, handed it to me and asked for a refill. LOL!
Here is the recipe:
1 Tbl canola oil
1 Cup ketchup
1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce (on the ketchup aisle)
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/3 Cup balsalmic vinegar
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
2 Tbl worchesterchire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp Tobasco sauce
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
12 kaiser rolls
Combine first 12 sauce ingredients together in a large bowl. Place chicken (I use frozen) in bottom of crock pot and pour sauce over chicken. Cook on hight 4-5 hours or low 6-8 hours. Remove chicken and shred. Stir back into sauce. Serve over kaiser rolls.
Enjoy!
to avoid the watery ick, I precook my chicken.....chop it up/shred it....& then toss it into the crockpot with the sauce. Works great everytime!
I would say that first just cook the meat (no BBQ) sauce in the crockpot, then drain any liquid THEN add your BBQ sauce after you shred the meat with 2 large forks. Continue to heat for another 15-20 mins. It won't be watery that way at all.
Other than googling my go to for crock pot recipes is this website: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/
The last recipe she posted looks really good, I have some chicken thighs waiting for next week.
