Yep... same boat here... I have a couple of suggestions. First is to drink lots and lots of water. And if you knew me, you'd understand how strange it is to get that info from me... I always HATED water and if I drank it first thing in the morning, I'd get sick to my stomach (strange, but true!) But since I too have joined e-diets, I've started drinking about 60 oz of H2O daily and I've come down about 5-9 lbs pretty much permanently (since my weight fluctuates about 3-5 daily). Now, that was only skimming the top of the iceburg as I want to lose LOTS more...
My other suggestion is to find some good books. I know it's hard to find time to read w/ little ones running about, but if you can find something that sucks you in, you might be surprised. I found the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and I was hooked from day 1. Something clicked in my head and throughout the day I found myself skipping snacks... Okay, okay, so that's how I got started in writing, but hey... it's a hobby that has taken me OUT OF THE KITCHEN and gotten me to use my brain for other things than laundry and dishes. Something to keep your mind active is key! And remember that you are not JUST a mommy... you are a WOMAN. That might help inspire you to begin eating healthier.
Whatever you do, however you chose to tackle this problem that we ALL have, remember that it takes a long time. I, too have tried all the diet pills out there (nothing worked), I've tried the excerise DVD's (currently collecting dust), I even went to LA Weight Loss (lost 35, but put it all back on!) and Weight Watchers.
It boils down to self-motivation! Good luck and we're here for all the trials and difficult days!!! =] K.
You can send me a message and we could keep each other updated w/ what works! I'm like you, I like to know another person going thru the weight loss roller coaster...
