How to Get Rid of Teething Zits?

My little guy's most recent tooth is causing him lots of drool and it's resulting in a little rash of zits just below his bottom lip. I'm hesitant to put anything on it since it's so close to his mouth. Does anyone know of anything to help clear this up?

What can I do next?

my son had the same problem with teething and the drool, but i did not ever put anything on it.
i just kept a clean dry cloth with me all the time to wipe the drool off as much as i could.
once the tooth breaks the surface he should stop drooling so much and the area will clear up on its own.
i would be careful putting anything close to his mouth...

We were told by the doctor to wipe down the area with warm water and then let it air dry.

Hi H., I would recommend using some Aquaphor. I discovered this miracle ointment when my son was an infant as it came highly recommeded by our Ped. nurse to clear up just about anything. Hope this helps!
