I am expecting my 3rd and after going through the baby clothes from my 2nd child a few of them have horrible formula stains. Does anyone have any great way to remove these stains or should I pretty much give up?
I've been out of town for a week and just catching up. I actually have a wonderful product combination that works so well that when I showed it to a mother of 6, she works the garage sales in the early spring for baby clothes, get's "all" the stains out and resells them for quite a profit.

Unless you treat them pretty much as soon as they happen then I don't think they will come out. I use oxy on stains , put it in the wash and also pre treat the stain by mixing some with a little water to make a paste and rub it into the stain.
At a new M.'s group the facilitator told us about Fels Naptha soap. It is an old-fashioned laundry bar soap made by Dial. I have found it at the local grocery store, Wal-Mart, and Ace Hardware. Sometimes it is in the laundry aisle where it should be. Occasionally I have found it by the regular bar soap-although it is definitely not for washing hands or bathing. Fels Naptha gets out all the stains from my toddlers clothing & mine too. It even gets out the stains from clothes that I had washed & dried AND then realized there was a stain I forgot to pre-treat. My washing machine has the option of including an extra rinse cycle. Whenever I use a lot of the soap to remove stains I choose the extra rinse just to be sure there's no residue left on the clothing that could irriate my son's skin.
The other products I have have good luck with are Zout and Oxy Clean. In fact, I used to soak my son's super stained stuff in Oxy Clean when he was really small. Diaper leaks and lots of spitting up.

You might try a product called Legacy of Clean Concentrated All fabric bleach by Amway global or the Try-zyme detergent booster. I just started selling it and have heard awesome things about the laundry detergent(powder), all fabric bleach and laundry booster! The Legacy of Clean TRI-ZYME concentrated detergent booster is suppose to be able to take out set in stains when used as a pre-soak. Oxyclean worked for me. I just sprayed on the oxyclean and threw the item in the wash. S.
Fill up the washer to the lowest level, or the sink, or even a bucket depending on how many clothes you are going to put into it. Fill it with the hottest water possible, add equal parts oxyclean and clorox color safe bleach. If its the washer I probably use about a cup of each..ive done it so much I just eyeball it. Then put the clothes in and give them a stir with a wooden spoon to make sure they are all saturated and then let them sit over night. In the morning, run them in a normal cycle and dry them. Works like a charm for me! I sell on ebay and have three kids, and this is what I have used for years now, it definitely works on formula stains as well as most other things! Good luck :)
