Hi A. I would start by looking into the Alamo Workforce closest to your home. I also have four kids and believe me I was very scared to get my GED because I had been out of school for 15 years before I went to my local Workforce about three years ago to take some GED classes for free and then they took me to SACC to get a voucher from them to take the actual GED test and to my surprise I passed it on the first try. Now I am enrolled at St. Philips. It really feels good to know that I am going back to school to give my kids a better life they deserve it. If they don't have any GED classes at your workforce they should be able to refer you to other agencies that offer that service. I know when I went to take these GED classes not all the Workforce offices offered the GED classes. I hope I have been of some help to you. GOOD LUCK. Maria N.
