My 3 year old is obsessed with drawing with pens and has taken it out on her brand new wardrobe!! A brand new dress, white cotton shirt and a brand new (worn once!) pair of jeans!! Do you know of a sure-fire way to get it out???

What can I do next?

Hair spray works because of the alcohol content. Cut out the middle man so to speak and soak it in rubbing alcohol.

rubbing alcohol takes ink right out of clothing. I always just google whenever we get a new type of stain. There are tons of online solutions.

If it is ball point pen ink, then aerosol hair spray will do it.

It's expensive to let your daughter draw with pens.

For ball point pen ink, I second aerosol hair spray, the cheaper the better.
I had a friend who worked in the alterations department at an upscale department store and that's what they used to get ink out of things. Many times, there would be a perfectly good dress on the rack that someone somehow marked up.
She spayed with the spray and then sprayed with water and dabbed with a damp cloth. Don't rub...it might just make the stain bigger.
I used this trick on my husband's dress shirts and it works.

Best wishes!

The only way I know of that has worked is the Rit ink remover and of course it all depends on the type of fabric and how bad the ink mess is.
