Fingernail polish remover worked for me one time when we used some acrylic paint. It was on a plastic play table. If regular polish remover doesn't get it, try the non-acetone polish remover.
My daughter and I painted a pumpkin together with finger paints. The paint washed off our skin easily enough, but it left her high chair shelf slightly stained. I've tried water, soap, and bleach to no avail. Any ideas on how to get the stain out?

When all else fails...Mr.Clean Magic Erasers! Life savers...or house savers at least!
it might work, lemon juice and sun shine it works on other things.
Try Orange Essential Oil, that helps take off paint, glue, and tons of stains.
I sell a nontoxic, safe cleaning product called wowgreen that has a wonderful product for removing stains. Contact me for more info. Sometimes bleach sets the stains and can ruin whatever you are trying to get the stain out. ____@____.com

Without knowing what kind of finger paints you were using I'll just assume they were non-toxic therefore probably food based in some way. Try Oxyclean spray (or generic versions). Spray it on there. Rub it in. Rinse it off. Worst case it helps take other food stains off too right? And it won't ruin the fabric. This stuff was able to get red jello stains off my highchair if that tells you anything.
Good luck!

never tried it with paint, but olive oil works wonders at getting spaghetti sauce stains out. worth a try!
Hi A.,
If the surface you are trying to clean is white, you might try rubbing alcohol or oven cleaner. These might make the surface dull, so use just alittle. Good luck!

Try rubbing alcohol.
If the paint has come off, but you have stains lingering try putting out in the bright sun for a day or two. You might also try some lemon juice.
Have you tried the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers? My husband was so funny the other day he picked one up and started cleaning baby scribbles of walls (this last child is a terror with this!) and ended up going around the whole house saying,"This is amazing!" Don't know if it will work on this surface, but worth a try.
Have you tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? Sold in the aisle with cleaners. It seems to remove every stain for me. Then maybe just clean her tray really well with dishwashing soap or run it through the dishwasher if possible?
