How to Get Ceiling Fan Light Open

The bulb went out in my ceiling fan. I can't figure out how to get the thing open to change the bulb. There are no visible scews or clips holding it in place. This is a rental, so we didn't buy it. It seems like a very nice ceiling fan, white and silver, not some $50 thing from Target. Help?

What can I do next?

You might have to push up slightly on the globe and twist it left or right.
If it's a very smooth globe, wearing some playtex gloves might help you get a grip.

Some of the globes pop in place or turn in. Like One and Done said wear rubber gloves and gently turn or pull. Also feel around the top of the globe for small screws.

If you cant get it open just call and ask your landlord.

Ours have three very small screws ABOVE the globe (like up on the fan kind of) that catch a little lip on the light inside the fan part. I'm sure that makes no sense, but I can't figure out how better to explain it.

Climb up on a chair and feel around above the light and see if there are any screws up there.

If that fails, try gently turning counterclockwise and see if it's a twist out.
