There are monitor wipes specifically designed for screens - iPads, iPhones, TVs, computers. Also, I don't think germs live too long on dry surfaces but you could check with your doctor.
My daughter has pink eye and spent yesterday playing with our ipad, so I'd like to disinfect it. But I don't want to ruin it. Is there a way to safely disinfect it without ruining it? The internet is inconclusive, so I was hoping some moms might have a good answer for me.
Nevermind, the husband just took windex to it. Here's hoping he didn't ruin it in his haste to clean it off!

I wipe mine down with windex once a week....
I'm not sure bacteria can live on an ipad long enough for it to even matter. If you're really concerned, you could just put the ipad up on a shelf for a day or two. The germs should be dead by then.
I've always been told to spray a cloth with the cleaner and then apply the cloth to the electronic devise. The prevents to much of the cleaner from seeping into the device and harming it.
Clorox wipe. They are not too strong or too wet.
I clean my laptop with a babywipe.
I mist our phones and tablets with Lysol spray. I don't saturate it just a light mist. Then it air dries.
I saw wipes for sale at best buy for just this purpose.
