Rubbing alcohol will take out pen. I've found that a toothbrush and Dr. Bronner's soap does wonders on microfiber! On shoes as well!
I need the wisdom of Moms. How do you clean a diaper bag? I have microfiber diaper bag. It's pink, a bit dirty and now has pen marks from my little girl. I tried scrubbing in laundry detergent, but it didn't work. Help! My plan was to use this for years and don't want it to get dirtier.

Hair spray takes out ball point pen. Then wash it with soap or laundry detergent and a scrub brush.
Microfiber is machine washable. Depending on how the bag is made and what other materials are in it, you might be able to wash it in the machine on gentle. I've successfully washed lunch bags and synthetic cloth purses in the washer.
I'd try washing it by hand first. The directions for cleaning microfiber furniture is to work up a suds and spread the suds on the fabric and gently rub it back and forth. Then rinse with a small amount of water in a cloth until the water is clear.
Both alcohol and hair spray should take the ball point ink out.
I always put my diaper bags in the wash and let them air dry. If it was too cold to air dry - I would put them in the dryer on air only.
I have pale blue microfiber couch covers that get so messy so fast. I always soak them in the washing machine with 1/2 a cup of tide, 1/2 cup oxy clean, and some fabric softener. Dirt, pet hair, pen, paint, glue, ect comes right off. Since your diaper bag is microfiber I would try to do something similar to this, but on a smaller scale. Soak it in the tub or sink and then wash it in the machine on gentle.
Awesome is one of my best friends. I find it at the dollar store (If you live around NoVA) and it's wonderful! I takes out make-up, blood, ink and a host of other things. I keep it in stock in my home. For the diaper bag, I would put awesome on the trouble spots and work it in (do a second time for stubborn spots), turn it inside out and launder with the rest of the babies stuff. I also use it on my husbands collars before washing and as a pre-treater to get out those nasty deodorant stains before washing. I hope you have an AWESOME day!
